New seen film of the week ... Valentines day

Verdict ... watchable, but never again!!

personally i was expecting the next Love actually, which is what the film is obviously trying to be like, unfortunately it just does not cut the cheese. The film is of course set on valentines day and follows ALOT of people round with how they are spending valentines day. There are so many stories, and so many characters that i just didnt care whether the people stayed together, broke up or killed each other!! Ashton Kutcher played the helplessly in love guy who is estatic when his girlfriend ((jessica alba)) agrees to marry him, however as the plot moves on ((bare in mind its only based on one day)) she dumps him and he is upset for about 10 seconds...believable??? i think not! as for everyone else, their stories are so short and it just turns into an American blockbuster situation of how many celebrities can we fit into one movie?? Its nothing on the amazing British film Love Actually....better luck next time America

Leon

This film was a fave of mine when i was really small, i forgot all about it until recently when i just watched it again. It stars a very young natalie portman, who is an absolute fantastic little actress!! Its a bout a hard hitman called Leon who doesn't care for anything in life except his job, which he is very good at!! The young girl, matilda has all her family murdered by a corrupt dea officer, and a reluctant Leon takes her in. They have a strange but moving relationship, as matilda becomes more and more infatuated with the man who is teaching her how to kill, however he only sees her as a daughter, Excellent story line ....bloody love it !!!!

Anchorman

Anchorman will actually have you in stitches, even if you have already watched this i recommend you do again and again, it just never gets old!!! The script is cleverly written and although the plot isn't that creative (( A man who is an anchor who falls in love with a woman who wants to be an anchor, and he plays a jazz flute and has a talking dog called Baxter who speaks Bear...yeah sounds odd)) ITS AWESOME!!! The one liners that Will ferells character, Ron Burgandy says will cheer you up on the saddest of days!!... I don't know if you know, but he's a pretty big deal :) watch it, or watch it again!!!

oh also if you liked this try; zoolander, superbad and talladega nights...alll hillarious OH and wedding crashers!!!!!!

Moulin rouge

Now this film is a keeper!!! However i must warn to whoever has not watched it yet (even though that's quite hard to believe)) that the first 10/15 minutes are a bit silly and stupid, but believe me, stick through it and it will be well worth it. Yes its a musical which is a bit off putting to some people but, it is all modern day songs that you will recognise and be singing along to yourselfs. As for the plot Ewan Mcgreggor plays penniless writer, Christian who comes to Paris to fall in love...and this is exactly what he does, although it is with a prostitute, played by the gorgeous Nicole Kidman. Their love has to be kept a secret as Satine ((Nicole Kidman)) is already promised to a really ugly and creepy duke. It will make you laugh, be sad, actually give you the shiver...you know what i mean?? ...when watching the song Roxanne. Its a very moving and cleverly written film!!!

Ok, so its not your typical film that girls like to watch but i must admit gore, violence, sex and action packed movies are my weak point! I went to see this movie at the cinemas and was absolutly gob smacked. Ok, so the story line is a little far fetched, but who cares?? its a film! people watch films to escape from the boring reality of the world anyway.

The film is pretty much about 300 spartans...who are ROCK HARD....AND HOT!!!! who decide to stand up to the bullys that are the Persian army. The leader King Leonidas is played by the gorgeous Gerard Butler and boy does he do it well. Wearing nest to nothing and killing everything in sight!! Oh he's just my type :) ,..back to the film... so yes it is an absolute gore and violence fest, which i know some people don't like but there is a bit of romance and sad moments in there PLUS the men are practically naked most the time. ;) well worth a watch :)

Armageddon

I have watched this film numerous times and i still am unable to tire from it. The cast is absolutley brilliant with Bruce Willis as the over protective father who neglected his daughter for many years and now feels he can control her life. His daughter, played by Liv Tyler has a romantic whirlwind story with hunk Ben affleck, they have great chemistry together!! But on a serious note this film is about the end of humanity, the thought that God has destroyed this planet before and that he is sending a comet to do the job again, only, this time humans have the advantage to stop this disaster from happening. You dont have to be a sci fi buff to love this movie as there are plenty comical, love and sad moments to please everyone :)

A walk to remember

This has to be one of my all time fav films...better than the notebook! ((Yep i did just say that)) but for some reason it never really caught on with people. Its your typical basic teenage love story plot but itsssssssss so much better. Basically there is the popular hot guy Landon Carter who is in the wrong crowd at school and getting himself into all sorts of trouble, Then there's the geeky girl who is also the reverands daughter who obviously stands out, but for all the wrong reasons. This film will have your eyes watering from the sheer romantic gestures never mind from what happens later on...trully is a must see :D

I have decided to do this blog as I am a massive film buff and I'm forever looking for a new movie that will make me excited, scared, happy, sad, cry or laugh.

Films have taken a massive hold of everyones lives and i have began to notice that certain film reviewers are talking complete Bull when it comes to films, (of course everyone is intitled to their own opinion) So i have decided to do my own reviews.
